Work created by students may contain (privacy) sensitive information. Ouriginal complies with Utrecht University’s privacy and security requirements. This means for example that all submitted information can only be used for plagiarism detection (and therefore not for other purposes), and that data is stored in Europe.

If you suspect your assignment or thesis may contain (privacy) sensitive information:

• • Discuss this with your teacher.
  • Submit your document in Blackboard or the Web Inbox, rather than by email.
  • In the Web Inbox you can change the ‘exemption status’ of your document. An ‘exempted’ document will be used as a source for plagiarism detection (and is thereby protected against plagiarism), but the contents of the document will not be visible to others.
